Kultcha is an online course grounded in the philosophy of permaculture. Our mission is to empower people through the education, practical skills and self-awareness they need to create a more sustainable world. Our course is structured into four key areas of development:
- Learn about the systems that shape the world
- Reflect on how these systems can be improved
- Innovate at a practical level with your new knowledge
- Grow your self-awareness to affect positive change
Working through each of these modules over a recommended period of eight weeks, you will be equipped with new knowledge and skills to interpret and shape your place in the world. Each module is made up of a series of skillsets, each with their own activities to help you reflect on and retain this new information.

Our Online Course
Module 1: Learn
The first module of our online course examines identity at a systematic level. What are the driving forces of the modern world that influence our lives, and where do they stem from? Working through the skills and activities in this module, you will develop a critical understanding of:
- Climate change
- Food security
- Economic instability
- Population growth
Module 2: Reflect
How can the systems that shape the world be improved for more sustainable outcomes? In this module, you will be introduced to the principles of sustainable design and how they can be applied across the economic, social and environmental spheres of the world.
Module 3: Innovate
Now you are equipped with the knowledge you need to understand the world and the pathways to sustainable growth, module 3 equips you with the practical skills you need to move towards them. In this module, you will learn core practical skills such as:
- Cultivating your own garden
- Capturing renewable energy sources
- Creating cooperative communities
- Becoming part of the circular economy
Module 4: Grow
The final module in our course is aimed at building your self-awareness. Using the new knowledge and skills obtained in the previous modules, you will learn to enhance your:
